The inventory is mainly based on industry data and is completed, where necessary, by secondary data. This data set is based on primary data from internationally adopted production processes, connected with regional precursor chains.772The data set represents the specific situation in one country, focusing on the main technologies, the region specific characteristics and / or import statistics. The power consumption of an elevator can be divided into stand-by consumption and the actual consumption for the ride. The average power consumption per ride is 0.013 Wh. Stand-by consumption is approx. 600 kWh/a, if cabin lighting and guard locking are not permanently active. This was assumed for the modelled data set, as it represents the state of the art of new systems. On average it is assumed that an elevator in an office building with a carrying capacity of 1000 kg performs approx. 200.000 rides. For 220 working days this amounts to 900 rides per day. This data set is scaled to 400.000 rides per year and therefor modelled with a higher utilization.Electricity grid mixTransport of people in buildings with an elevatorConstruction_DE_Elevator high utilization.jpgLCI resultAttributionalNoneAllocation - market valueAllocation - net calorific valueAllocation - exergetic contentAllocation - massForeground system: none
Background system: For the combined heat and power production, allocation by exergetic content is applied. For the electricity generation and by-products, e.g. gypsum, allocation by market value is applied due to no common physical properties. Within the refinery allocation by net calorific value and mass is used. For the combined crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids production allocation by net calorific value is applied. All data used in the calculation of the LCI results refer to net calorific value.NoneGaBi Modelling PrinciplesGaBi Water Modelling PrinciplesGaBi Agriculture Model DocumentationGaBi Land Use Change Model DocumentationGaBi Energy Modelling PrinciplesGaBi Refinery Modelling PrinciplesCut-off rules for each unit process: Coverage of at least 95 % of mass and energy of the input and output flows, and 98 % of their environmental relevance (according to expert judgement).
